Rebecca Wing, LCPC, began her professional career as a musician and a K-12 music teacher in private and public school systems. Having studied with Jon Kabat-Zinn and many Buddhist teachers, Rebecca began to integrate her knowledge and experience of mindfulness into an effective approach for her students. For 8 years, Rebecca taught professional development seminars for teachers seeking to utilize Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction skills with children. After 17 years of teaching and performing, Rebecca earned an MS degree in clinical counseling at the University of Southern Maine.

In 1999, Rebecca co-founded the Mindfulness Retreat Center of Maine with her husband, Terry Fralich. Rebecca has a private counseling practice for children, adolescents and families and also offers extended residential mindfulness retreats at the Center. She has taught many workshops throughout the country and teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programs for schools and corporations, including LL Bean and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. A professional musician, Rebecca has recorded 3 CD’s of original music and a guided meditation CD. She has pursued her own meditation and mindfulness practice for over 20 years.
