Stacy Sue Rosello, MA, OTR/L, is an award-winning occupational therapist acknowledged for her formative work with children and families.Ìý She is a Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-Foundational Capacities of Development (DIR-FCD) clinician, dedicated teacher, a scholarly author, blogger, and speaker.Ìý With nationwide pediatric experience spanning over 25 years, Stacy understands the child and family across many settings and cultures.Ìý Drawing from her clinical work experience, in 2010 she established her thriving practice, Embrace the Child®, Ltd., which embodies Family-Centered, DIR-FCD and Sensory Integrative Methodologies.Ìý In 2019, she was recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association as the recipient of the Emerging and Innovative Practice Award "Defining Excellence and Leadership in Family-Centered Practice."Ìý She has studied the DIR-FCD model for nearly 20 years and is assistant faculty for Profectumâ„¢ Academy where the parallel process unfolds in teaching and mentoring of the DIR-FCD Model.

(Looking Into Family Experiences): An Occupation-Based Assessment in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy in a special issue on autism with DeLana Honaker, PhD, OTR, FAOTA and Catherine Candler, PhD, OTR, BCP "Putting Families First: Family Occupations and Family-Centered Therapy" in the Foundations for Pediatric Practice for the OTA with DeLana Honaker, PhD, OTR, FAOTA and Ruby Salazar, LCSW, BCD, which is the first chapter in the field of OT on Family Occupations, and "Full Circle Autism Care Includes Family Relationships and Dynamics: Practical Application" in Emerging Programs for Autism Spectrum Disorder (in press) with Ruby Salazar, LCSW, BCD.Ìý Since the start of the pandemic, looking to give hope to families, she created the Embrace the Child® blog to illustrate the beauty, simplicity, and challenges found in her OT practice and typical everyday family living.
Above all, Stacy is passionate.Ìý She had the privilege to meet Barbara Corcoran, of the acclaimed The Corcoran Group and ABC television's Shark Tank, who identified Stacy's passion as the cornerstone for success.Ìý She emits this passion as a dynamic national speaker encouraging multi-disciplinary professionals to incorporate family-centered care and the DIR-FCD model to improve the quality of life for children and their families.
